Gordon Watts, Asia Times: China struggles to contain Wuhan virus

Beijing left scrambling to cope with the outbreak after the first case was reported on December 31

When the Wuhan virus outbreak started creating media waves across the globe, China’s state-run CCTV was dominated by a 22-minute spotlight on President Xi Jinping’s tour of Yunnan.

Back down the running order was the coronavirus story, the 10th item on CCTV’s agenda during Tuesday’s prime-time bulletin. The cult of personality appeared to have edged out the cult of breaking news.

FISA Court Admits Spy Warrants Against Carter Page Were 'Not Valid'

Anyone convicted with evidence, which is tainted, can petition for a new trial. With some, most or all of the evidence gathered due to the FISA warrants a lot of convictions and plea deals could be thrown out.

I hope Manafort's convictions are thrown out. I don;t particularly like Manafort with his fancy suits and what not. I am almost as envious as the next guy. But the judicial system was selective and prejudicial. Did Manafort hide money probably. I do not see how you can go after him and not the others who are Democrats. That is not a level playing field.

Wesley Snipes evaded taxes and went to prison. I can still watch his movies and feel good about it. Taxes are too damn high and I understand why he did it. Taxes are too damn high to support a bunch of average IQ grifters. On the Rush Limbaugh show there was a recounting of a guessing game called

    DAUGHTER OR MISTRESS?

Bonus points, if the dude you see at the restaurant, is married.

Many of those people have to gaming the system if they are supporting a mistress. So I understand how Manafort was envious. I don't fault him much.

Joe and Hunter need to be imprisoned.

'Lil Hunter the crack addict says he is too poor to pay child support, while he preps for the Impeachment trial in a $12,0000 per month rental in California.
