The Afghan Taliban Are Claiming Victory Over America In The War

NBC: U.S. sees Taliban deal as exit from Afghanistan. Militants see it as victory over the superpower.

“Even if we don’t say that the U.S. is defeated in Afghanistan, it's an open secret now that they are,” a member of the Taliban's Haqqani network said.

DOHA, Qatar — The Taliban cheered, whooped and cried "God is Great" just moments after one of their leaders signed an agreement that could lead to the United States' withdrawal from Afghanistan after more than 18 years of war.

On Saturday in this tiny Gulf kingdom, senior American officials shook hands with the group that, as the government of Afghanistan from 1996 to 2001, had sheltered Osama bin Laden, the Al Qaeda leader and the architect of the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks. The U.S. agreed to work toward lifting sanctions against the group, and Taliban leaders can even look forward to a possible meeting with President Donald Trump.

In short, after nearly two decades of war with the world's remaining superpower, the Taliban look like they not only have won the war, but they are also on the way to shedding their status as international pariahs.

the list of wars the US is involved in and wrecked havoc among civilian populations...

but even an anonymous criticism of the mass murder and you can be sured google will analyse it, mark you as dangerous to freedoms and you get travel restrictions for speaking your mind.

but hey, lets all salute and sing THE NATION OF THE FREE AND RIGHTEOUS

lol

don't laugh while singing. Look like you mean it and wave the flag. Get a pin sticker for your suit too. He or she who speaks out against war will never find a job in the US, will be rendered financially dead, and with it as good as dead.

good luck patriots! :)

^^ And out come the prancing douchebags. ^^

19 YEARS. We solved WWII in FOUR. We absolutely should have slaughtered the Taliban, everything in the southeast quadrant of AFG, Helmand, Tora Bora, well into Waziristan. And then hunted anything trying to move west out of the ‘tribal areas’.
There for a GENERATION and utterly failed to change a thing. Spending trillions, thousands of American lives ended or drastically altered.
The slaughter should have been immediate, thorough and done in a year. Instead we did NOTHING well, except feed our own troops into an IED meatgrinder for 18 years.
And now we sit and conduct this fucking farce of a negotiation. We should have collapsed our perimeters, killed anyone that got near us on the way out and destroyed everything we needed to leave behind. Let the savages dance on the ruins.

Russin. Go wave the flag. Be proud. Go lie to yourself. Don't travel. Don't broaden your horizon. Don't see why you're not number 1. Put your head in the sand. Sing. SING!!!

All those millions killed and you still are retarded. You still don't see what you fund. You still see no error. Sigh. Good luck.

When and why did we go into Afghanistan?
When we seemed to be winning, what got us to remove so many troops?
Where did those troops go?
What then happened in Afghanistan?
that explains why we won, then lost, now leave

And the Taliban would not have been content to sit in their Pakistani safe haven, wait us out a year or two, wait for additional 'surge' soldiers to leave and then come back?

Come on Bucko, you have to think of more what-ifs than that.

You are pathetic.

Let's remember that the Sunnio of Anbbr and the afhjgans are different.

The Sunni of Anbar got sick of the liberal's poster boys, Al Qaeda, and joined with the US to defeat them. They fought hard and got hurt by Al Qaeda in return, but kept fighting. In 6 months it was over.

On the other hand too many Afghans seem to want to hide in America when they come to the US for training They do not fight like the Anbari.

The success in Anbar had less to due with John McShame's surge than the willingness of Anbari to step up.

You should feel stupid, but you don't, because you are too stupid to know how stupid you are.

We spent 18 years in Afghanistan. We are now getting out, perhaps, but Taliban laughing at our retreat and Afghan govt unwilling to release Taliban POWs...we cut and ran. ok. only lost lives and money

"only lost lives and money"

You also lose lives and money if you don't go on the offensive

How well did the Sitzkrieg work out for the French?

Man, are you beyond stupid.
