And it’s happening. As of this writing, according to Border Patrol figures, more than 350 Chinese nationals have been apprehended at the southern border since January 1.

Those are just the ones we caught. We only catch 1 in 3.

So of the 700 that evaded Border Patrol put

200 in NYC
150 in Boston
200 in Philly
150 in Baltimore

Oh wait, that is just January.

So in the February maybe some of these guys can do grounds keeping and get up real close and personal ...

No problem you say? You got a Mexican grounds keeper. The Chinese passed through Mexico and the Mexican health system is extra primavera!

Any day now!

LMAO!

"And for every illegal alien who’s caught, one can assume that three made it in without getting caught. That means that more than 1,000 Chinese nationals have entered illegally this year already—most of them after the Chinese travel ban was put in place."

Remember kiddies the Chinese are telling the truth about the course of the pandemic in China.

Happy Corona Virus!

The president’s job is to uphold the Constitution and to see that the laws are faithfully executed. It is the job of this president, as he sees it, to say he’s doing a wonderful job.

President Trump has responded to the coronavirus outbreak by (among other things) promising it would go away by itself, playing golf, blaming China, blaming the media, blaming Democrats, lying about it, attempting to bribe Germany’s vaccine industry and saying he’s responding to it perfectly.

Asked to grade his response on a scale of one to 10, Trump gave it a 10. Keep in mind, he once compared himself to “a supermodel, except, like, times 10.” His 10 is most people’s 0.01.

Two years ago, Trump graded his presidency. “I give myself an A+,” he said. “The only thing I’m doing bad in is the press doesn’t cover me fairly.”

This week, he said the same thing. “The only thing we haven’t done well is to get good press,” he said. “We’ve done a fantastic job, but it hasn’t been appreciated.” The only mistake Trump makes is not getting enough praise for never making mistakes.

President Donald Trump is always keeping score.

Sometimes it's a simple brag — boasting about the highest State of the Union TV ratings in history, trumpeting that he appointed more judges than George Washington, inflating the number of electoral college votes he won in 2016.

But cherry-picked numbers are also central to how Trump comprehends a crisis and crafts a positive narrative. As the coronavirus raced around the globe and seized the world’s economy, he has cited numbers to suit his own story that the pandemic would quickly pass and that his administration was in control.

It’s a playbook that hasn’t always worked.

In late February, Trump claimed there were only 15 coronavirus cases in the United States — a vast understatement — and promised “within a couple of days,” the number would be close to zero. That number has now soared past 14,000 and is climbing exponentially. He seized on figures about how many people the seasonal flu killed annually — 37,000 last year alone — without the country needing to shutter most businesses. His own health officials categorically rejected the comparison.

Then, Trump promised the administration would have 1.4 million coronavirus tests available by mid-March. But as of Thursday, only 100,000 people had been tested, causing one of the president’s top infectious disease experts to concede, “Clearly, more needs to be done.”

Public health specialists say Trump’s use of misleading numbers to downplay the coronavirus outbreak — a challenge that could make-or-break his presidency — has had dangerous consequences, leading Americans to ignore official warnings about modifying behaviors to slow the disease’s spread.

“He's a man that hears what he wants to hears … and he puts it through the lens of a marketer. He is a marketer,” said Georges Benjamin, executive director of the American Public Health Association. “His image is, ‘I’m on top of this, I’m tough,’ and anything he hears that supports that theory of the case, he grabs and utilizes.”

soon after the coronavirus outbreak emerged in China, the rest of the world began to regard it as a threat to public health, while Trump has seen it as a public-relations problem. Trump’s primary method of dealing with public-relations problems is to exert the full force of the authoritarian cult of personality that surrounds him to deny that a problem even exists. This approach has paid political dividends for the Republican Party, in the form of judicial appointments, tax cuts for the wealthy, and a rapid erosion of the rule of law. But applied to the deadly pandemic now sweeping the planet, all it has done is exacerbate the inevitable public-health crisis, while leaving both the federal government and the entire swath of the country that hangs on his every word unprepared for the catastrophe now unfolding in the United States. The cardinal belief of Trumpism is that loyalty to Trump is loyalty to the country, and that equation leaves no room for the public interest.

Neither the tide of pestilence sweeping the nation nor the economic calamity that will follow was inevitable. They are the predictable outcomes of the president’s authoritarian instincts, his obvious incompetence, and the propaganda apparatus that has shielded him from accountability by ensuring that the public is blinded to his role in the scale of this disaster.

More and more each day, President Trump is using his daily briefings as a substitute for the campaign rallies that have been forced into extinction by the spread of the coronavirus.

These White House sessions — ostensibly meant to give the public critical and truthful information about this frightening crisis — are in fact working against that end.

Rather, they have become a daily stage for Trump to play his greatest hits to a captive audience. They come in search of life-or-death information but here’s what they get from him instead:

● Self-aggrandizement. When asked how he would grade his response to the crisis, the president said, “I’d rate it a 10.” Absurd on its face, of course, but effective enough as blatant propaganda

● Media-bashing. When NBC’s Peter Alexander lobbed him a softball question in Friday’s briefing — “What do you say to Americans who are scared?” — Trump went on a bizarre attack. “I say, you’re a terrible reporter,” the president said, launching into one of his trademark “fake news” rants bashing Alexander’s employer. (Meanwhile, he has also found time during these news briefings to lavish praise on sycophantic pro-Trump media like One America News Network, whose staffer — I can’t call her a reporter — invited him to justify his xenophobic talk of a “Chinese virus” by asking rhetorically if he considers the phrase “Chinese food” racist.)

● Exaggeration and outright lies. Trump has claimed that here are plenty of tests available (there aren’t); that Google is “very quickly” rolling out a nationwide website to help manage coronavirus treatment (the tech giant was blindsided by the premature claim); that the drug chloroquine, approved to treat malaria, is a promising cure for the virus and “we’re going to be able to make that drug available almost immediately.” (It hasn’t been approved for this use, and there is no evidence to demonstrate its effectiveness in fighting the virus.)

Trump is doing harm and spreading misinformation while working for his own partisan political benefit — a naked attempt to portray himself as a wartime president bravely leading the nation through a tumultuous time, the FDR of the 21st Century.

The press — if it defines its purpose as getting truthful, useful, non-harmful information to the public, as opposed to merely juicing its own ratings and profits — must recognize what is happening and adjust accordingly. (And that, granted, is a very big “if”)

Business as usual simply doesn’t cut it.

DRIVING THE DAY

IT’S BEEN SAID BEFORE, through self-inflicted crises and global tumult. But now, it’s truer than ever: the next two days are the most pivotal in DONALD TRUMP’S presidency.

WITH ONE-THIRD OF THE COUNTRY relegated to their homes, the stock market at 2017 levels and a disease crowding hospitals and taking lives, TRUMP needs a Congress with which he has a rocky relationship to deliver him a massive legislative package in the next several days -- or else.

TRUMP ISN’T IN THE MIDDLE OF IT, and people involved in the matter say that’s for the better. But it’s Senate Majority Leader MITCH MCCONNELL, Senate Minority Leader CHUCK SCHUMER, Speaker NANCY PELOSI and Treasury Secretary STEVEN MNUCHIN who are trying to guide the historic package to completion this weekend.

THE PACKAGE -- which, Larry Kudlow said this morning is nearing 10% of GDP or $2 trillion, per Sarah Ferris -- would inject money into an economy begging for it during this crisis of unmatched severity.

THE FATE OF TRUMP’S PRESIDENCY -- and the American economy -- is in the hands of a Congress and federal bureaucracy he has spent years berating.

Those crumpled papers near President Trump's trash bin? Some might have been US intelligence reports warning about the coronavirus. That's according to a Washington Post report about classified warnings Trump apparently received in January and February and fully ignored as he assured the American people that everything would be OK. "I think it's going to work out fine," he said on Feb. 19. "I think when we get into April, in the warmer weather, that has a very negative effect on that and that type of a virus." But US officials say that by February, most of his daily briefing papers included warnings about the coronavirus, and then-acting chief of staff Mick Mulvaney was raising the alarm in regular meetings.

But Trump rebuffed the data, officials say, because he didn't think the virus had spread in America and he believed Chinese President Xi Jingping's claim that the infection was under control. "China has been working very hard to contain the Coronavirus," Trump tweeted Jan. 24. "The United States greatly appreciates their efforts and transparency." But China has since been criticized for its slow response to the outbreak. As an aside, the Post notes that intelligence reports on the virus also went to members of Congress—including Sens. Richard Burr, Kelly Loeffler, and Dianne Feinstein, who sold off millions in stocks before the Wall Street downturn, per USA Today. The Guardian reports that Trump criticized the Post's report Saturday, calling it "a disgrace" and "very inaccurate."

The press has been caught planting false stories before. So why believe this one?

The WaPo is owned by a billionaire who has stated he intends to run the paper as partisan press.

Comey's FBI has lost the Flynn Paperwork, so why should I expect the Brennan covered CIA to be any different.

Also when a story sucks the oxygen out of the room, it means all other stories get ignored. Who did that? Right shitty Schiff.
