Three months ago, most of us had never heard of the Covid-19 coronavirus, far less imagined how it would change our lives.

Now, there are more than a million people infected worldwide and it is claiming the lives of hundreds of Britons a day. And we still have no idea when the outbreak will end and life will get back to normal.

At the same time, our scientific understanding of the virus is advancing at a remarkable pace. So, what have we learnt about coronavirus, and how might that knowledge help us defeat it?

Navarro:

"You may find this interesting. In the city that you live in, in New York, in the New York health and hospitals system, virtually every patient now that comes in presenting COVID-19 symptoms is given a cycle of hydroxychloroquine, and when I discussed this last night with Mitch Katz, who is the head of that system, I asked him, are you doing that because the federal government is telling you or because you think it may work? And he said quite clearly that it may work."

Navarro:

"So you presented a false case there. Basically what I have said and the only thing I have said is that the scientific studies that I have seen point to the possibility that it has both therapeutic efficacy as well as possible prophylactic efficacy. When you speak to doctors and nurses on the front lines ask how many of them are taking hydroxy as a prophylactic in the war zone."

CNN Soyboy:

"I'm not interested in the politics of it, only interested in the science of it. Why should we listen to you and not Dr. Anthony Fauci?"

God Fucking Damn it. I thought we were past this. I sat in social studies and heard about Yellow Journalism and thought we had left that all behind in the 19th century. I thought that this is the 21st century. I cannot happen here.

So naive of me.

There IS CNN's John Berman whose job depends on his propaganda efforts trying to win his Goebbels award.

Only stupid cucks watch John Berman other than for the same reason people might watch Looney Tunes, comic relief.

"Dr. Birx Confirms Anyone Who Dies WITH Coronavirus, Regardless of Any Underlying Health Condition, is Being Counted as a COVID-19 Death (VIDEO)"

For someone, who has a working knowledge of SQL and DOE, this smacks of tyranny, sloth, and bureaucrats gaming the system in full view of the citizenry.

These people are a bunch of ass fucks.

So a person could have stage IV cancer, have suffered a heart attack, but if they catch COVID 19, then it is all COVID's fault.

Again, what a bunch of assfucks.

The Lapides Shuffle.

Fred sidesteps the CDC EIC and says "Look over there, NCMI." Typical Fred.

Trump acted in January. The Democrats finally took notice in the Debates on March 15th.

What were the experts Dr Fuck-Shit-Up Fauci and the WHO director saying? No big deal.

This is not a major threat to the people of the United States and this is not something that the citizens of the United States should be worried about right now,”

If the virus as threat became known to our intel in March, then yes, it was not a threat in January

Washington (CNN)US intelligence officials were warning as far back as late November that the novel coronavirus was spreading through China's Wuhan region and posing a threat to its people and daily life, according to ABC News.

The US military's National Center for Medical Intelligence (NCMI) compiled a November intelligence report in which "analysts concluded it could be a cataclysmic event," one of the sources of the NCMI's report told ABC News.

The source told ABC News that the intelligence report was then briefed "multiple times" to the Defense Intelligence Agency, the Pentagon's Joint Staff and the White House.

He knows. He doesn't care. This is what malignant narcissism is.

In his self-praising, lie-filled press conferences and through his actions, Donald Trump continues to treat an ongoing pandemic that has already killed over 10,000 Americans as just another opportunity for weaponing government into a tool for his own self-aggrandizement. His refusals to acknowledge the pandemic as it spread are responsible for a large number of those deaths, and will be responsible for more. He remains absolutely indifferent to who lives or dies, instead obsessing over whether he gets proper praise, credit, and glory. Case in point: his tweet this morning.

"Will be immediately sending 100 Ventilators to Colorado at the request of Senator Gardner!" Trump tweeted. What he's not saying: His shuddering and incompetent administration previously commandeered 500 ventilators that Colorado had ordered for itself. Now he'll be giving them only one-fifth of those machines.

There are numerous problems with Trump's brag here. Trump is giving credit for his decision to send ventilators to up-for-reelection Republican Sen. Cory Gardner—but Trump had previously ignored the requests of the state's Democratic governor, instead now clearly suggesting that his decision was based on the politics of the person asking. Trump has done this before, last year crediting Sen. Thom Tillis for his decision to declare a national disaster in North Carolina after Hurricane Dorian rather than any of the other state officials begging for the same. Tillis was in a tough reelection battle, as Gardner is now; Trump's use of national disasters to reward patrons and damage enemies, regardless of what lives he endangers, is apace with his half-authoritarian, half-stupidity-based willingness to use all the rest of government as similar slush fund.

Why Does the Trump Administration Keep Seizing Hospitals’ Coronavirus Supplies?
Luke Darby
5-6 minutes

When it comes to fighting coronavirus, the states are on their own. At least according to Donald Trump. At a press briefing in mid-March, he angrily told reporters, "Governors are supposed to be doing a lot of this work," adding, "the federal government is not supposed to be out there buying vast amounts of items, and then shipping. We're not a shipping clerk. As with testing—the governors are supposed to be doing it." In one Twitter thread from early April, he claimed that any states that aren't getting enough supplies are lying for political reasons, then pivoted, acknowledging that shortages are real but it's the states' fault. He wrote, "Some have insatiable appetites & are never satisfied (politics?). Remember, we are a backup for them. The complainers should have been stocked up and ready long before this crisis hit."

White House adviser Jared Kushner—who, as head of the government's coronavirus response, told Trump governors were exaggerating the impact of the outbreak—is making similar arguments. He told reporters that the federal stockpile of emergency medical supplies wasn't for states and their residents anyway, saying at one press briefing, "The notion of the federal stockpile was it’s supposed to be our stockpile; it’s not supposed to be state stockpiles that they then use." Neither Kushner nor Trump ever clarified who "our" refers to or who the federal stockpile is for if not Americans who live in those states.

And it turns out that even states' own medical supplies aren't for the states either. According to the Los Angeles Times, the federal government, after waiting nearly two months acquire life-saving ventilators and N95 masks, has been seizing equipment from hospitals all over the country, confiscating them with no explanation. A representative for FEMA told the Times that the Department of Health and Human Services had implemented a system that redirected supplies to wherever the need is greatest, but declined to give any more information or say where, exactly, the seized equipment was going. This comes after inconsistent efforts to meet states' needs: Florida, a swing state with an aggressively pro-Trump Republican governor, received everything it requested within three days, while other states like Oregon, Oklahoma, and New Jersey all got less than 10 percent of the equipment they asked for.

"We can’t get any answers," one California hospital official told the Times. Another said, "Are they stockpiling this stuff? Are they distributing it? We don’t know. And are we going to ever get any of it back if we need supplies? It would be nice to know these things."

Now you know when Trump really should have known about Coronavirus...then know this next

An outbreak of African swine fever (ASF) was confirmed on Monday on a farm near the village of Więckowice near Poznań in western Poland, less than 150km (93 miles) from the border with Germany.

African swine fever is a highly contagious virus which is fatal to pigs. It is transmitted directly between animals or through infected meat or animal feed and has also been seen as having the potential to transmit to humans. There is an ongoing outbreak in China that has already already wiped out 40% of pigs in the country.

The outbreak is Poland’s second in 2020 and the first in the Poznań region, an important centre of pig farming.

The source of the infection were ASF-positive piglets that the farm owner, Smithfield Foods’ subsidiary Agri Plus, purchased in mid-March.

The farm in Więckowice specialises in fattening piglets up to 30kg. There are just over 10,000 piglets on the farm that will have to be culled, local authorities said, but the eradication of the outbreak might be slowed by safety and social distancing measures imposed in Poland in order to stop the spread of Covid-19.

The spread of ASF on pig farms and in wild boars in western Poland is a concern for Germany, Europe’s top pork producer with approximately 26 million pigs. Germany is also the EU’s second largest pork exporter to non-EU markets, after Spain. Most German exports go to China, South Korea and Japan. Should any of those markets – China in particular – classify Germany as an ASF country, it could herald a major crisis for the German pork industry.

That would also spell trouble for Polish pork producers: a Chinese ban on German pork could lead to it flooding the EU market, depressing prices

The chaos and confusion rocking President Donald Trump's administration on the most tragic day yet of the coronavirus pandemic was exceptional even by his own standards.

Trump set out Tuesday to cement his image of a wartime leader facing down an "invisible enemy" at a dark moment as the country waits for the virus to peak and with the economy languishing in suspended animation.

"What we have is a plague, and we're seeing light at the end of the tunnel," the President said, on a day when a record number of Americans succumbed to the wicked respiratory disease.

But instead of putting minds at rest, Trump's wild performance instead put on a display many of the personal and political habits that have defined his tumultuous presidency. It was a troubling spectacle coming at such a wrenching chapter of national life, the kind of moment when Presidents are called to provide consistent, level leadership.

To begin with, Trump sparked concern that he will prevent oversight of the disbursement of economic rescue funds by removing a watchdog official responsible for overseeing the $2 trillion package. The move, coming after Trump ousted an intelligence community inspector general last week, was yet another sign that an already impeached President is using the cover of the worst domestic crisis since World War II to further erode constraints on his power.

Trump's acting Navy secretary quit after an episode in which he called an aircraft carrier captain dismissed for raising the alarm about virus infections among his crew "stupid."
New White House press secretary downplayed pandemic threat and said Democrats were rooting for coronavirus
New White House press secretary downplayed pandemic threat and said Democrats were rooting for coronavirus

Then Trump insisted he hadn't seen January memos by a top White House official warning about the pandemic at the same time the President was dismissing it as a threat.

He also announced he was placing a "very powerful hold" on funding for the World Health Organization, even though it correctly identified the scale of the virus and he didn't. Then moments later, he insisted he did no such thing.

Adding to the sense of farce, White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham was moved out, without ever having given a briefing, on yet another day of staff turmoil. CNN's KFile reported Tuesday that her replacement, Kayleigh McEnany, recently said that thanks to the President, "we will not see diseases like the coronavirus come here."

Trump's top economic adviser Larry Kudlow admitted that a small business rescue program was off to "a bad start" after recipients struggled to register funds, only for the President to celebrate the program's roaring success -- and to credit his daughter Ivanka with personally creating 15 million jobs.

To top off a disorientating day in the West Wing, the President presided over an unchained news conference in which among other topics, he lashed out at mail-in voting, making claims about fraud that don't square with the facts, even though he recently cast such a ballot himself.

Parrot really did grab its Elmers glue and went to town.

The usual lack of punctuation, capitalization, and other errors points to vintage Parrot.

Also there is the complete lack of logic.

PS: Parrot, who do you think you are fooling? You are not Jewish other than by the accident of birth. That is the long and short of it.
