* The anti-submarine aircraft flew within 30km of an American aircraft carrier
* Russian aircraft were escorted to a safe distance by the American fighters

This is the moment a pair of US fighter jets accompany a Russian warplane flying close to an American aircraft carrier in the Pacific region.

The incident occurred when a Russian Pacific Fleet anti-submarine aircraft IL-38 flew within 30 kilometres or 18.6 miles of the George Washington aircraft carrier reportedly undetected on April 26.

After the Russian aircraft was detected three US jets, two supersonic F/A-18 Hornet fighters and an F-15 tactical fighter were scrambled to escort it to a safe distance.

WNU Editor: The article says the Russian plane was intercepted 30 kilometres from the aircraft carrier and was escorted away. But the above video shows the Russian plane to be near the aircraft carrier. Speaking of being close. Those US jets are very very close to the Russian Ilyushin Il-38.

Well, that's just business as usual. I cannot imagine a war between Russia and USA.
