Riots In Minneapolis -- News Roundup May 29, 2020

Daily Mail: Minneapolis looks like a war zone after third night of protests over George Floyd's death with 170 businesses destroyed and Trump tweeting that he 'will not have died in vain' after blasting 'when the looting starts, the shooting starts'

* Minneapolis was left in ruins Friday morning following third night of riots and protests over Floyd's death
* Trump took to Twitter last night to blast Minneapolis' mayor as 'radical left' and warned he would intervene
* Chaotic scenes and protests also unfolded across several states including New York, Colorado and Ohio
* Flames billowed out of the Minneapolis Third Police Precinct as protesters stormed and torched the building
* 500 National Guard troops arrived at Minneapolis and neighboring St. Paul to quell the unrest
* NYPD officers were seen brawling on the ground with protesters and at least 70 people were arrested
* In Denver, shots were fired at the Colorado State Capitol where hundreds had marched to demand justice
* In Kentucky, seven were shot in protests over the death of black Breonna Taylor - shot dead by cops in March
* Ohio protesters breached the statehouse in downtown Columbus
* Demonstrators damaged a police cruiser in downtown Los Angeles, where a protest first started Wednesday

Minneapolis was left in ruins on Friday with dozens of businesses looted or destroyed after rioting broke out for the third consecutive night in the city and protests erupted across America over the death of George Floyd.

Shocking photos show devastating aftermath of Thursday night's riots where cheering demonstrators torched the Minneapolis Third Police Precinct demanding justice over the 46-year-old black man's killing by cops.

Thick smoke was seen rising into the sky as firefighters worked to contain a number of blazes early this morning and National Guard troops blocked access to streets where businesses had been damaged.

They marched side by side and block by block as they expanded a perimeter around a heavily damaged area.

Protesters' fury over the death of Floyd - who was seen in video pleading for breath as white officer Derek Chauvin pressed his knee against him - intensified late Thursday night when rioters broke in and set fire to the police station, roaming through its corridors with baseball bats, axes and torches.

WNU Editor: I am surprised that more videos have not surfaced .... New George Floyd video shows the man begging to be allowed to stand so that he can catch his breath as THREE police officers kneel on him (Daily Mail).

Update: Oh oh. It appears there is more to this story than what is being reported .... Prosecutors warn there is 'evidence that does not support criminal charge' in case of four cops accused of killing George Floyd (Daily Mail). But Minnesota's Attorney General still wants charges .... Minnesota Attorney General expects 'there WILL be charges' against the four cops in George Floyd's death - but officers say they will NOT cooperate and are pleading the fifth (Daily Mail).

Update #2: This is not helpful .... 'Trump knows nothing of Minneapolis': mayor hits back at president's tweets (The Guardian). His city is burning and the police are not defending its citizens. To me it seems that the person who knows nothing of Minneapolis is the mayor himself.

Please US be gentle with these protesters, they are doing exactly what your congress is encouraging Hong-Kongers to do. THE CHICKEN FINALLY COME HOME TO ROOST. Any encouragement to the protesters from Aus or UK?

You are right it's comparing apples to oranges because in HK is a color revolution back by America.

Most anyone would rather be tried by a Hong Kong court under the old rules than by a Chinese court. Color Revolution does not enter into it.

I know of two "Color Revolutions", Iran and Ukraine. Obama never supported the Green Revolution in Iran.

Keep trolling.

Bottom line is the HK movement has failed and all the traitors will be in jail soon.
