Biden Team Very Confident That They Will Win The Presidency. Are Preparing For A Potentially Bumpy Transition

The administration has been cooperative so far, but President Trump has given mixed messages on whether he would commit to a smooth transfer of power if he loses. WASHINGTON—Senior advisers to Joe Biden are preparing for the possibility that the Trump administration will throw up roadblocks to Mr. Biden’s transition to the presidency if he wins the election, according to people familiar with the internal discussions.

Mr. Biden’s transition team, a low-profile group of policy experts tasked with making sure the former vice president is ready to take office, has crafted alternative plans if President Trump—who has given mixed messages on whether he would commit to a peaceful transfer of power—refuses to comply with requirements that a president-elect’s team be allowed into federal agencies ahead of Inauguration Day. The team is also planning for a scenario in which the Trump administration declines to share resources or provide briefings seen as crucial for a smooth transition of power, the people said.

So far, these worst-case scenarios haven’t come to pass, people close to the Biden campaign and transition said, adding that the former vice president has received classified briefings and lower-level Trump administration officials have been professional in initial interactions with the team. “Transition officials have been planning for various scenarios. So far, the pre-election process has run smoothly,” said a person familiar with Mr. Biden’s transition planning. Asked for comment, a White House official said, “We’re following all statutory requirements.”

WNU Editor: The Biden team is very confident that they are coasting to victory.  I would love to know what their internal polls are showing. They are very positive about everything, and they are not shifting their strategy of minimizing their candidate's public appearances.

Trump should only refer to Biden as "The Big Guy" during the debate. It will probably fly over most peoples heads, but should spark enough curiosity for people to research the reference and understand what's being hidden from them.

I like how 1:34 thinks.

This is really crazy that the main stream media is ignoring a really juicy story, cause their "Big Guy" is the one the story is about. This is very bad for America!

WNU,

Why should Democrats not be confident. It is a dead heat. In California they flipped 7 Republican seats on recounts. A dead heat is well within Democrat's ability to cheat.

If the Democrats win the corruption index will go to 78, 79 or 6 points higher.

Also, I told my kids to hold off on signing up. I told them wait a year maybe two. Wait until the ROE get changed and where we do not have to pay a price for drilling with broomsticks.

I'm not sure if they are as confident as they let on or if it's justified. 1.) Their internal polling may be making the same mistake as last time in not properly accounting for the silent voter. The pollsters with sound track records are not expressing such confidence in a Biden victory. 2.)For people who are so confident they protest much reminding me of the Shakespeare line "thou doest protest much." 3.) Team Trump is also behaving like they think they're going to win without the "thou doest protest much" approach. 4.) While Democrat cheating may be an issue, neither team Trump nor their supporters will take it lying down. In the past, Republicans may may have meekly taken such things.

It’s all a message to make sure the Dems vote, that’s all

Possible Parrot sighting at 4:46.

The man never has any context or proper perspective. Ever.

Don't compare a handful to thousands and say it is worse.

You know what a van full of guns is? Stupidity!
