My Take On Tonight's Presidential Debate

Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden and U.S. President Donald Trump arrive to participate in their second 2020 presidential campaign debate at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee, October 22, 2020. REUTERS/Jim Bourg/Pool

WNU Editor: Moderator Kristen Welker could have done a better job. At the beginning she was interrupting President Trump too much, but after 30 minutes she pulled back and did OK. President Trump is far better in this debate than the first one, even with Welker's constant interruptions. He had problems talking about his taxes and explaining Hunter Biden's laptop. But his remarks on crime, black incarceration, race relations, immigration, etc. .... Trump needed to give Republican-leaning holdouts an excuse to vote for him, and he did that tonight.

Like President Trump in the first debate, former Vice-President Biden showed the "ugly" side of his character in this debate. Especially when his son's laptop and his history on passing crime bills that incarcerated many minorities was mentioned. His promise to transition from oil was an eye-opener. This is what happens when you are not use to being challenged. He also rambled too much in his 2 minute segments. But I predict his supporters will be happy with his performance.

The big moment in this debate was when Joe Biden promised to phase out the oil industry, and repeated that again when the moderator asked him why would he do that. Wow! Joe Biden just lost Pennsylvania and who knows what else.

Truly phasing out the oil industry will take at least a generation.

The debate was decent, both did well, but Trump was better overall and much sharper. Biden , in numerous occasions, was having difficulties finishing sentences and finding words. And that's on adderall..
God only knows where his mental state will be in a year into the presidency. And keep in mind, he almost for sure got the questions in advance by the Democrat host, while Trump answered quicker and better on the fly. Also, it was harder to notice as the moderator had a pleasant demeanor, but she asked Trump about 20 follow up questions, and Biden only 2. Rewatch it and you'll see, Biden was never pressed.
Think Biden lost it tonight and I don't think he minded. He wanted one good last performance "you're running against Joe Biden ", and he did. He'll not win and a deal will be made that his son and family dealings with Russia, Ukraine and China will not be investigated. He's out and he knows it.

There are news stories that the Europeans cover that the American mains stream press will not cover, because they are running cover for Democrats.

Suppose that Zerohedge is a Russian operation or at least was and was spin off. Given that an Iron Curtain had descended on America, to hurt the established elite autocrats ZH has to do only one thing and one thing only.

"Wow! Joe Biden just lost Pennsylvania." Umm... You do realize that there's hardly any oil industry in PA, right? It's all natural gas and fracking, which he specifically promised not to touch. Your breathless shilling for Trump is really undermining your otherwise robust common sense, and it's going to land some egg on your face in November, when Biden wins Pennsylvania and who knows what (sic) else? Maybe just stick to "War News."

Junior,

You are looking at direct employment. There are other ways of looking at things and people do.

Joe promised not to touch it, because he got heat. So he flip flopped. People saw that.

Even the moderator saw it; she was shocked.

I appreciate the Chinese POV comrade.
