Russian Spy Chief Says How the Afghan Debacle Unfolded Should Be Shared By The The U.S. Intelligence Community And The US State Department

RT: ‘US didn’t want to face the truth that it’s no longer the global hegemon,’ Russian spy chief tells RT after Afghanistan debacle

The US failed in Afghanistan because it miscalculated its own abilities and wanted to install its own societal model in a foreign land, the head of Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR), Sergey Naryshkin, has told RT.

"What happened in Afghanistan with the rushed withdrawal and fleeing of the puppet government is a consequence of America’s destructive policies, as it tried to impose its social development model on Afghanistan,” Naryshkin said in an interview with Oksana Boyko on Worlds Apart.

The spy chief said the blame for how the situation unfolded should be shared by the whole US intelligence community, including the CIA, as well as the State Department and the White House’s office of the national security advisor.

WNU Editor: I hate to say it but this is an accurate assessment from the Russian spy chief. Director of Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service Sergey Naryshkin is also correct about this .... US leadership was aware of real situation in Afghanistan, says Russia’s intel chief (TASS).

Update: He is convincing no one .... Moscow spy chief accuses UK of 'lies' after British police said they had identified a third Russian suspect in Salisbury Novichok attack (Daily Mail).

You don;t need a US intel dossier to determine what went wrong in AFG. An incompetent US *president howled at his equally incompetent senior military staff and issued/followed a stream of orders which was completely backwards of how the removal of US troops, citizens, allies and assets should have been handled.

And the order to wholesale unass Bagram was beyond destructive. The US has yet to even begin to feel the ramifications of this fiasco.

A debacle is a debacle, nothing can change it. We still have American citizens prisoner in Afghanistan after one month American forces left. Its a huge shame.

Goodness gracious, if US Afghan policy was "destructive," what does he make of Soviet policy back when they took their turn? Though he does have a point when it comes to so-called nation building based on Western ideals, if anything we were TOO LENIENT on the Afghanis. Still, Russia left behind a legacy of quite a different sort. I still remember stories of children losing limbs after stepping on landmines that had been remained buried in fields (and God knows where else) years after the Soviets left with their tails between their legs. When it comes to legacies--ANY legacies ANYWHERE--Russia, née USSR, has little to boast about.

The defeat in Afghanistan is the result of the USSR and communists students and professors on American university campuses.

Where do you get this thesis, I have read about it years ago.

The communist turds on campuses protested going into Cambodia. American politicians took notes. So did everyone else around the world.

So a generation later American politicians never ever considered going into Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA). Sure there were some drone strikes, but other than that American politicians sat down, stayed quiet and were good little boys. The U.S. was never going to win in Afghanistan as long as it stayed out of FATA or Pakistan. At worst the Taliban would only have to wait the US out. Their expenses were lower.

And the stupid, know nothing parrot shows up.

“90% of life is just showing up.” - Woody Allen

"While the President delivers a speech at Rand's funeral, the pallbearers hold a whispered discussion over potential replacements for the President in the next term of office and unanimously agree on Chauncey Gardiner as successor"

Parrot is proof of it.
