Sputnik: Lavrov, Blinken Reportedly Had 'Testy Exchange Over Ukraine' at OSCE Gathering

Over the past few weeks, Washington has repeatedly voiced concern about Moscow allegedly laying the groundwork for a potential invasion of Ukraine with a buildup of Russian forces on the nation's border with its immediate neighbour. The Kremlin has repeatedly rejected the allegations.

There was "a testy exchange over Ukraine" between US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov at an Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe dinner in Stockholm earlier this week, Bloomberg has reported.

The news outlet cited unnamed sources as saying that the pair's showdown took place during the 1 December gathering attended by "dozens of their colleagues".

WNU Editor: TASS is being diplomatic on what happened .... Lavrov-Blinken meeting enabled debate on divergent Russian-US positions, says Kremlin (TASS). But other Russian media sources are saying that it got very "testy" at the end of what became a very short meeting, and that is why there has been a rush to have this virtual summit between Biden and Putin this Tuesday.

I've been trying queries to find where WNU said summits come about after the diplomats of the respective countries hammer out an agreement that is complete or near complete so the leaders can swoop in and claim credit for a sure thing like the Reykjavik Summit.

Whereas in the Biden era the exact opposite is true. Summit are declared, whenever there are intractable disagreements among the diplomats and Joe subsequently utters a need to meet with Putin for more talk and zero results.

I can only conclude that these two summits in 11 months if the Biden regime are nothing more than a cheap trick to raise Brandon's poll numbers.

December 7th: Another day that will live in infamy.

"The Reykjavík Summit was a summit meeting between U.S. President Ronald Reagan and General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union Mikhail Gorbachev, held in Reykjavík, Iceland, on 11–12 October 1986.[1] The talks collapsed at the last minute, but the progress that had been achieved eventually resulted in the 1987 Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty between the United States and the Soviet Union."

The American Russian meet is to see if there can be some agreement to ward off the Ukrainian issue. When Trump met Putin, who said what about what? we were never told and it still remains a secret.
Now is that a summit

"Blinken reportedly responded by arguing that during the events of 2014, forces allegedly loyal to then-[Ukrainian] President Viktor Yanukovich "fired on peaceful protesters in Kiev""

Pretty bold thing to say at this point when your predecessors at the state dept were caught on tape talking about how the snipers were "theirs".

That pose by Blinken. Jeeesussss!

Lavrov does not look good, but it is a more conventional pose.

Blinken looks as though he is copying a courtier.
