FOX News: US-Russia communications disintegrating as nuclear weapons talk falls through
New START is set to expire in 2026, and US officials are eager to begin negotiations for a continuation of the agreement.
Russia rejected an opportunity to meet with U.S. officials to discuss a nuclear treaty set to expire soon, concerning some who say communications between the world superpowers are breaking down.
The meeting, originally set to take place in the early days of December, was expected to facilitate discussions of the expiring New START Treaty. A clause of the treaty demands that the U.S. and Russia allow officials from one nation freedom to inspect the nuclear sites and arsenals of the other.

You do not gather two dozen strategic bombers alongside fuel tanks, support vehicles, and crates that are likely ammunition boxes to conduct a photo-op or exercise. You gather together this type of firepower because you have plans to use it.

Show of force? I did not figure those Bears would nuke Ukraine. I figured they would perform operations like an Operation Arclight mission or Operation Charnwood of WW2. Either they would bomb en masse to create a wide breach in the line or bomb to prevent it from being sealed.
Stupid arm chair generaling? Maybe.
These bomber have been used to bomb Ukraine before. Maybe the Russian side thinks the Ukrainians are running short on anti-air missiles so they can afford to mass bombers.
At any rate these bombers are dual use bombers. They have been used as conventional bombers in this war. So they get hit. And now Russians cry about their nuclear triad. Frankly, I don't give a damn.
Those bombers got my attention. They got the Ukrainians attention. They got hit.

These bombers are dual use. They can be used conventionally and nuclearly. The Russian used them conventionally in this war to hammer the f___ out of Ukraine.
If I were running the Ukrainian war effort, I would wipe out any platform *ship, sub, truck, or plane) that had been used to fire one of those Kh-101 cruise missiles.
The Tu-95 is such a platform. Therefore, it is a legitimate target.
Don't think you can threaten Biden or Obama. Biden can only think 8 hours a fay with the help of pills. Obama is hiding behind the green curtain and thinks he is safe. Le General Austin is a bucket boy. Jake Sullivan and Blinken are stupid and are out back huffing flatulence (Huffing sewer gas is actually a thing). You are not going to scare these people.

Me. On my bucket list was a train travel from London to Beijing and visit family at both ends. It has not been on the list for several years now.
