    The Democrats claim the Internet.

    I was on the Internet in 1980, when it had just 11 or so universities on the East Coast.
    It was a DARPA initiative so see how the U.S. could have its communications, command and control survive a nuclear blitz. I also got flamed on the Internet in 1981.

    Thanks for the reply and links, anon 5:12,14,17. I'll give it a look tonight.
    I see some of these accomplishments took place during Roosevelt's time and The Great Depression so both sides of the isle were likely instrumental in passing some of this legislation.
