The Tennessee Star: US Oil Boom Is Defying Expectations, Experts Say

The United States is expected to churn out far more oil in 2019 than what international analysts originally forecasted.

The International Energy Agency, a Paris-based organization that helps coordinate energy policies for industrial countries, released its latest oil market report Friday, noting exceptional numbers for the U.S. fossil fuel industry.

The agency reported U.S. oil production is expected to rise by 1.3 million barrels a day in 2019. While this number is lower than the record-smashing 2.1 million increase producers enjoyed in 2018, it’s more than double what the IEA initially expected to see in 2019.

  1. Oil production is the root of the economic progress the US has made in the last two years. If the Democrats get control of government, the first thing they will do is shut it down.

  2. Driving through Midland and the countryside down to the Frontier shows the concentration of energy infrastructure. One cannot see the stars at night or more than a short distance in daytime because of emissions. Large areas look like the moon. We should thank Texans for sacrificing their land, homes and health to keep our energy cheap.

  7. The USA is clear about what it wants to power the nation, whatever is cheapest and that means natural gas and oil. If Canada would clear their heads of green delusions, they could drastically increase their oil and gas production too. Then both nations would produce enough to avoid importing oil as a necessity, instead it would on,y happen for market reasons.

That’s how you return US troops to the USA and out of the perpetual chaos of the Middle East.

The Trumpistas' opinions appear to living rent-free inside your skull.

The discussion was about energy. Is that your trigger/cut/paste response any argument? Because it was pretty general and off topic.

  12. True. I can take foul language to the point of poetic verse. Your'e canned response was clever. Witty even.

But do you have a cogent argument for, or against re: oil discussion?
