U.S. Democrat Presidential Candidate Bernie Sanders Had A Heart Attack This Week

NBC: Bernie Sanders had a heart attack this week, campaign says

Doctors diagnosed Sanders, 78, with a myocardial infarction, a medical term for heart attack.

Sen. Bernie Sanders was discharged from a Las Vegas hospital Friday after suffering a heart attack earlier in the week, his campaign said.

Asked how he was feeling as he left the Desert Springs Hospital Medical Center, Sanders told NBC News "great. I feel great."

In a video posted Friday on Twitter, he echoed that sentiment: "I'm feeling so much better."

WNU Editor: It is going to be hard for him to go forward, but it looks like he is going to try.

  1. I remember when John McCain ran in 2008. He was 72 at the time. There was quite a bit of negative reporting on his age and frailty and the potential of his expiring while in office, then. And regardless of my personal opinion of McCain, he was far more physically and mentally robust than ANY of the three current front running Dems in this race - EG: Biden, Warren, Sanders.

  2. That's ridiculous. He should be self aware and drop out. This lack of self awareness and apparent ego is troubling. But then again. ..Democrats lol

  11. At the appropriate time Sanders will drop out and tell his followers to follow the DNC choice of candidate, Joe Biden. That is once he gets his pay check for doing so. Most likely it will be his last.

  13. No I am posting from my cell. The name "Social Security" is not offensive as it is a repayment of money contributed for a lifetime of work.

Don't confuse "Socialism" with the concept of paid for benefits. Big mistake.

Trump brags that he has improved the economy and the well being of all Americans and yet he finds it necessary to "rob" the Social Security fund of those paid for retirement benefits forgetting the money does not belong to the government, but to the people. He is making a mistake as well.

As for his bragging look, at the fake % increases claimed and consider that if all was well why did the jobs added include over 60,000 new jobs in the social services category over the last six months of job increases.

The truth is in the trending and that is not a good trend at all.

That is not a true statement.

The implication of the statement is one that you missed or ignored.

Bob your post was bollocks. Trump gave higher COLA's than Obama did except for one year. Try again sweet cheeks.

"During several years of the last decade COLA increases were small or non-existent, but the most recent increase boosted Social Security benefits for 2018 by 2.8%:"

    2008 5.8
    2009 0.0
    2010 0.0
    2011 3.6
    2012 1.7
    2013 1.5
    2014 1.7
    2015 0.0
    2016 0.3
    2017 2.0
    2018 2.8

    Truth follows

You doth protest too much Bob. Reading technical specs on RFIDs would be more interesting than talking to your IRL.

  17. Okay.

The COLA rate increases in the Social Security are based on the increases in the cost of living.

The average cost of living for Trump's first two years is double the average cost of living increases for Obama's entire two terms.

In other words, the increase in the COLA is more relative to what is happening since Trump took over and is a natural result thereof.

To put it in terms you might be able to understand, Trump's economic performance has been disastrous so far, and will continue so for the next 2 years at least due to the common folk picking up the bill for Trump's vaunted tariffs on China i.e., manifested in continued increases in the cost of living.

The fact you raised is actually an indication of failure on Trump's part because such large increases would not have been necessary if he handled the economy better.

Now please address your misunderstanding regarding social programs and "Socialism" if you are able that is.

  19. Connard never lets you down. He just keep on reaching between his bollocks and splattering it on the screen.

I give the inflation rate for the last few decades and then he gives the inflation rate from the lat few decades as if that proves that he refuted me assertion that I backed up.

Connard does not realize that both links basically have the same inflation rates by year. Bob's sloth and unimaginativeness must by why he never rose above bank teller. Oh, I am sorry, he rose to head bank teller above the women based on white male privilege.
