Most Americans came to know Taylor on Oct. 3, when Democrats released text messages that showed him calling it “crazy to withhold security assistance [to Ukraine] for help with a political campaign.”
Taylor sent that text to Gordon Sondland, U.S. ambassador to the European Union, on Sept. 9, the same day that House Democrats sent a letter to the White House asking for documents related to the Trump administration’s withholding of assistance funding to Ukraine. The letter mentioned a potential “abuse of power” and “betrayal of the public trust.”
Two days later, the Trump administration released its hold on nearly $400 million in military aid to help Ukraine fend off Russian aggression.
Now Taylor is a key witness for Democrats who hope to convince the nation that Trump should be removed from office. He will go first in part because he kept a documentary record of key conversations due to what one Democratic aide described to NBC News as his “exquisite note-taking.” He will testify, as he did in his deposition, that Sondland told him Trump would not release the funds unless the Ukrainians announced an investigation into Hunter Biden in order “to cast [former] Vice President [Joe] Biden in a bad light.”
“I said on September 9th … [it was] crazy. I believed that then, and I still believe that,” Taylor told House investigators during his impeachment inquiry deposition.
But it’s not just facts that are important for making a case to the American public. Taylor’s life and career are themselves compelling.>
When a group of Republican legislators barged into a secure facility on Capitol Hill last month to register their opposition to impeachment inquiry depositions taking place behind closed doors, we couldn’t help but register an unusual aspect of the stunt.
Of the 197 Republicans in the House, 48 had authorization to attend the hearings, either by virtue of their positions or their membership on relevant committees. Of the 41 who signed on to the protest, led by Rep. Matt Gaetz, nearly a third could have just gone in and observed the hearing itself.
Advisers to President Donald Trump are reportedly working on a plan to slash the "middle class" tax rate to 15 percent, a pre-election effort that tax experts and progressive critics slammed as an admission that the first round of Republican tax cuts did nothing for most Americans while further enriching the wealthiest.
"Here we go again," Americans for Tax Fairness executive director Frank Clemente said in a statement Tuesday, pointing out that the 2017 GOP tax law was also sold as a "middle class tax cut."

"What's the line, fool me once…? A vague, election-year promise of a huge tax cut for the middle-class should be viewed very skeptically," said Clemente. "Raising the idea of a new 'middle class tax cut' is an admission by the president that his first tax cut was a scam. It wasn't aimed at the middle class but aimed at his wealthy friends and big corporations. Why should we expect anything different now?"
The Washington Post reported Tuesday that a team of Trump aides led by National Economic Council director and Wall Street ally Larry Kudlow is exploring a number of proposals that would further cut taxes, including some that would disproportionately reward the rich.
The plan under consideration would likely aim to cut the tax rate for those who earn between $30,000 and $100,000 to 15 percent. The Post notes that the "current marginal tax rate for someone making $90,000 is 24 percent."
Such a tax cut, according to the Post, "would give tax relief to the middle class and the rich, since the rich also pay marginal taxes on the lower rates."
Michael Linden, a tax expert at the Roosevelt Institute, said "depending on where it starts, a 15 percent rate would be a relatively small tax cut for middle income people."
"This is an acknowledgement that Republicans' original tax plan was heavily skewed to the wealthy, the middle got almost nothing, and people at the bottom got literally nothing," said Linden. "I'm not sure having a second go at it is going to solve anything."

Trump started watching Lou Dobbs on Fox Business sometime around 7:30 pm last night. He later flipped the channel over to Fox News to catch Sean Hannity’s show. Then, this morning, he began his day with Fox & Friends.
How do we know this? Because Trump provided commentary for each of the shows he watched on Twitter. He altogether posted 12 tweets quoting or tagging Fox News personalities over about a 12-hour stretch. And with one exception — a Dobbs-inspired post spreading misleading figures about crimes committed by DACA recipients — all of Trump’s Fox News-inspired tweets railed against the impeachment hearing.
Meanwhile, a local Marshall's location was hit by a group of "very young kids accompanied by a 6’2″ man. According to a police officer who chased them, they were "real little... 10 years old."
on Saturday afternoon, fire personnel transported a Forever 21 employee to Mercy Hospital after a shoplifting team deployed pepper-spray and fought with customers at the chain’s Loop location, 10 South State. Witnesses said the thieves fled into a nearby subway station with “big bags of merchandise.”

It is not known of the cleric was actually in the US. He seems to reside in Egypt.
I think the procedure for vetting a cleric maybe rather unnecessary and stuffy, but I do not know what they are. The Bureau of prison seems to think they are needed and other clergy have met them in the past.
Why this cleric did not meet them in a timely manner makes me believe 110% that the cleric in the death chamber was just a stall tactic by the lovely ACLU.
The cleric also supports radical Islam.
The pro-Hakim legal case rests heavily on the suitability of Imam Yusef Maisonet to operate within the security protocols of a death chamber. And few questions were asked about who he was.
Even though he runs a mosque in Alabama, Imam Maisonet’s Facebook page appears to list him as a resident of Cairo, Egypt. His Facebook page includes a call to free the Al Jazeera propogandists arrested in Egypt for their work in support of Muslim Brotherhood terror. Al Jazeera is the state propaganda network of Qatar and the Islamic terror state is a major backer of the Muslim Brotherhood.
Imam Maisonet also reposted a quote in support of Islamism by Necmettin Erkaban.
Erkaban was a racist Turkish Islamist leader with links to the Muslim Brotherhood who had called for the Islamization of Turkey and then the entire planet. He was considered an inspiration by Islamist terrorist figures and was notorious for spewing rabid hatred toward Jews and other non-Muslims.
