ReplyDeleteBesides what this girl said, what the media said about her and what other popular figures say about the subject, which is irrelevant anyway. How come that most commentators that consider themselves as opposite to the left wing policies deny a systematically measured phenomenon like the global warming? It looks like if one were to accept the scientific consensus about this subject then becomes a left wing supporter. If this is so, then it is a dogmatic posture, like the holocaust deniers, the evolution deniers, etc. In general terms it is Like to be afraid that if to share the point of view of a part of something then it refers to the whole, like a syneddoche.

Has the northern limit of the corn line moved north in Canada. Those of us familiar with farming (outside of Farmville on Facebook) and study Indian history know where that limit is and how it has moved north and south. We have the historical record. If the corn line norther limit p'o the corn belt moves north then it may be getting warmer. But it isn't now is it!

ReplyDeleteI don't deny the climate varies; this is historically proven to my satisfaction. What I do not accept is that humans can alter the climate of the earth by changing the atmosphere of the earth. And changing a component of the atmosphere that constitutes 4/100ths of one percent of that atmosphere.
