President Biden Will Have His First News Conference In The East Room Of The White House At 1:15 p.m. Eastern Time

Until now, reporters have had only limited opportunities to directly interrogate President Biden. He is expected to face questions about topics including gun control, border policy, trillions of dollars in spending and the pandemic.

President Biden will face reporters in his first formal news conference Thursday afternoon, using the stately backdrop of the White House to promote the benefits of his economic recovery efforts, call for action on gun control and respond to criticism about his handling of the border with Mexico.

It will be Mr. Biden’s first high-stakes grilling by reporters since taking office more than two months ago. Since then, his advisers have carefully controlled his interactions with the press, which have included one-on-one interviews and some limited opportunities for reporters to ask questions during brief appearances.

WNU Editor: I do not expect any surprises in today's news conference. It will be a friendly and deferential media crowd.

President Biden probably already has his list of reporters to point out to ask questions, and who to avoid.

He may even know some of the questions already.

And I doubt that he will be challenged.

There is also going to be a lot of Trump bashing and blaming.

I also expect this news conference will not last long.

As for this news conference being held early afternoon. I am not surprised by that either.

People who suffer from cognitive decline are at not their best later in the day or evening. They are at their best in the morning and early afternoon. (I know from experience because my own mother is suffering from cognitive decline)

The news conference will be in the East Room of the White House at 1:15 p.m. Eastern time

  1. This is about as biased and non story as can be found
An event that has not taken place as yet requires how many sentences to tell us it is a worthless event"
FACT: press conferences are fully waste of time and Biden has been busy doing the business of the nation
FACT; TRUMP USED HIS CONFERENCES TO BADMOUTH THOSE HE DISLIKED AND TO PILE UP MORE LIES THAN ANY PRESIDENT HAS EVER TOLD THE PUBLIC! (IE HEALTH CARE PROGRAM COMING; VIRUS IS OF LITTLE IMPORTANCE ETC)

BUT NO: BIDEN HAS NOT EVEN HELD THE CONFERENCE AND WE GET THIS SORT OF NONSENSE?
ONE THING: YOU ARE FULLY OUT OF STEP WITH THE AMERICAN ELECTORATE

  3. Fox News is reporting that Biden was asked if he was ready for his news conference. The report claims Biden didn't know he was having a news conference.

I believe this report because Biden has shown serious mental disorders over a long career from being a groper of children, to academic fraud to senility and selling his nation out to china using his Hoe loving crack head son as the conduit.

As a US resident I cherish the decline of political noise in a country that suffers from a blaring excess of the stuff. In a sense, Biden has fulfilled the pledge of an entirely different candidate for the White House. “If you elect me president,” said the Colorado senator Michael Bennett in 2019, “I promise you won’t have to think about me for 2 weeks at a time.” Such a meek-sounding vision. Such a difficult one to achieve.

In both senses of the word, the volume of US politics seemed to go up in the 1990s. Fox News and MSNBC were formed to vie with CNN for cable viewers in a deregulated market. The president of the day, Bill Clinton, conceived of government as a “permanent campaign”. As if in tribute, two of his successors have served as both chorus and lead actor in the American drama, narrating their own doings. Never a natural administrator, Barack Obama, now on his third memoir, was in his element at the writing desk or lectern. Count his tweets, and Trump might be the president with the most acute case of graphomania since John Quincy Adams and his unending diaries.

  6. Fact: Biden is the winner in the election by ten million votes
Fact: Biden has 60% popularity rating right now
Fact: losers keep making remarks that Biden is this and that and those have no medical validity or proof.
Fact: calling names day after day alters nothing but instead reveals what you are really like

  7. 60% of people were hopeful that things would go good.

Hopeful is not the same as 60^ think Joe is doing a good job or support him. It is along the lines of "We elected Obama, hopefully race relations will get better." We know how that went.

    Joe Biden Job Approval Polls

The average of the polls is 53.3 for and 42.3 against. Not one poll is at 60%.

11:52 lied again. No one could be that stupid not even a libtard. 11:42 has to be a foreign agent.

"And I’m walking through this little alleyway to get to the bedroom."

Does Joe live in the RED LIGHT District or did President Alzheimers refer to a hallway as an alley way?

    Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahahahahahahahahah

  9. Maybe Joe think s of the hallway as an alleyway because he married an alleycat.

  10. “What happened was I got out of the shower. I got a dog and anybody who’s been around my house knows — dropped, little pup dropped a ball in front of me. And for me to grab the ball,

And I’m walking through this little alleyway to get to the bedroom. And I grabbed the ball like this and he ran. And I’m joking, running after him and grab his tail. And what happened was that he slid on a throw rug. And I tripped on the rug he slid on. That’s what happened. Oh man, not a very exciting story.” - Joe Biden

SERIOUSLY, WHO CHASES THEIR DOGS WHILE NAKED?

  11. Joe is going solo now, without training wheels. No Kamala or Jill being a helicopter parent! I AM AFRIAD to LOOK!

  13. Vegas is going odds on Joe OD'ing due to the doctor giving Joe too much meth.

Will Joe OD and the Whitehouse doctor will call it a heart attack to cover his tracks?

Will Joe get those facial lesions that meth addicts have?

  14. The give dementia patients Adderall to make them functional.

"Adderall and Mydayis are trade names for a combination drug containing four salts of amphetamine. The mixture is composed of equal parts racemic amphetamine and dextroamphetamine"

So yes, they are in essence giving METH to the president.

It explains why Joe has aged so quickly over the campaign and as president*

The Good Hippocratic Oath (Do no harm) doctor is shaving months or years off Joe's life with each appearance.

  15. and thee? how to make a comment that talks to issues and not trying to badmouth those that do not support you and your position.
Biden was unscripted. Biden was compassionate. Biden explained incoherent manner exactly what he faced and what he is doing.
Biden, sorry to say for you and your true believers, did very well. That is my assessment.
What was wrong? press focus upon immigration rather than other key issues. But that is the fault of the press and not the president.

  17. p[sic]ress focus(es)[sic] upon immigration rather than other key issues(.)[sic]

Immigration is one of the two key reasons that the Roman Empire failed. But, why do I expect historical literacy of a person, who is functionally illiterate across the board?
