Could The U.S. Walk Away From The Persian Gulf?

Last week Westhawk analyzed the idea of the U.S. walking away from the Persian Gulf.

The short answer is no. For the complete article you can read it here.

My Comment: Even if the U.S. can break free from the oil that the Persian Gulf produces, all of our allies as well as our "enemies" are too dependent on this oil. And if by some miracle a unique technology is found today that will make us energy independent, it would take one...maybe two generations to convert to this hypothetical new technology.

There is no question in my mind. We will be in the Persian Gulf for the rest of my life.

Update: Can we cash-starve Saudi terror funders? Probably not.
