Peace Elusive In Eastern Congo -- Reuters

(Reuters) - Congolese rebels fought their way toward the town of Rutshuru, around 100 km (60 miles) north of North Kivu's provincial capital Goma, early on Tuesday, as part of their latest offensive.

Tutsi insurgents loyal to renegade General Laurent Nkunda launched a major offensive on October 26, advancing to within 20 km (12 miles) of Goma.
