Police now said there was a "minor incident" early Friday at New Delhi's international airport but no one was killed.
A police spokesman said, "It was not a terrorist incident." He gave no further details.
Earlier reports from The British Broadcasting Corp. said six gunmen were shot and killed by security forces at the airport.
