Colombia Raises FARC Rewards Amid Mounting Threats, Tiempo Says

Jan. 2 (Bloomberg) -- Colombia will raise rewards for information on leaders of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia after the guerrillas pledged to step up attacks on the police and military, daily El Tiempo reported.

Payments to informants on the whereabouts of FARC leader Alfonso Cano and other chiefs will be 5 billion pesos ($2.2 million), the daily reported without saying where it got the information. It didn’t say how much the rewards were previously.
