Australian Diggers Kill 100 Enemy In Afghanistan Battles -- Adelaide Now

AUSTRALIAN soldiers have killed up to 100 Taliban fighters and disrupted vast enemy networks in two of the biggest and most successful operations of the six-year Afghanistan campaign.

Details of the offensive were revealed during a secret Anzac Day visit to Afghanistan by Defence Minister Joel Fitzgibbon.

During the biggest battle, on April 12, dozens of Taliban fighters died as they attacked Diggers from Combat Team Tusk in the country's fertile green belt.
