U.S., NATO, And Russian Relations, Not As Pleasant As What Is Advertised
MOSCOW -- Russia complicated U.S. efforts to persuade Kyrgyzstan to reverse its decision to kick out U.S. troops, delivering $450 million in loans and grants to the Central Asian country's cash-strapped government.
At the same time, Moscow took direct control of the borders of the two breakaway regions of another former Soviet republic, Georgia, on Thursday, drawing criticism from the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.
NATO, meanwhile, in a further sign of tension between the two former Cold War rivals, expelled two Russian diplomats over a spy scandal, a move that Moscow's ambassador said was intended to set back efforts by Russia and the U.S. to repair relations.

My Comment: NATO - Russian relations are only going to get worse. There is a lack of leadership from Washington over NATO at the moment .... and as a result, disputes that would never have occurred in the past are now making themselves public. The U.S. is naturally the party that is getting the blame for this kerfuffle.
