The heritage flight aircraft bank left during its exhibition over Holloman Air Force Base, NM during the Holloman Air and Space Expo on October 27. The F-4 Phantom was from the 82nd Aerial Targets Squadron Det. 1. The heritage flight also consisted of an F-15 Eagle, an F-117 Nighthawk and an F-22 Raptor from the 422nd Test and Evaluation Squadron. (U.S. Air Force photo)

My Comment: The F-22 is my plane of choice (in my dreams).

  1. Time marches on leaving both the F-4 and me as old relics. It was a superb war machine in it's time. A real "Beastie Boy". Just sitting on the ramp it said," I'm here to kill everything that gets in my way".

Year after year in Vietnam, and with the Israelis the Phantom swept the skys. Hell of an airplane, and there was no doubt of that after you flew it.
