Iran's Opposition Down But Not Out

Tehran's streets, in which hundreds of thousands of demonstrators thronged two weeks ago, have largely gone quiet. Small-scale demonstrations are still staged every couple of days, but the regime has effectively reasserted control through its willingness to use violence, and the threat of violence, against those protesting the disputed election result. But the absence of protesters from the streets doesn't signal an end to the political crisis that has roiled the regime since Mir-Hossein Mousavi and his supporters accused the backers of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of stealing the June 12 election.

My Comment: The Guardian has come out with a story on what happens to these young teenagers if they are arrested by the police in Iran. The results are horrifying, and I suspect that thousands are now suffering as you are reading this post.
I am sure that many of these young boys and girls are fully aware of what is happening .... but they still go out and confront the authorities on the street, on the web, and in social gatherings.
I know that these kids will win the war, but they are going to lose this battle. Sigh ..... these kids (like kids everywhere) deserve everything, but the monsters that rule Iran have their own agenda.
