October 27, 2009: The U.S. Air Force has ordered another dozen MC-12 manned reconnaissance aircraft. So far, 23 of those previously ordered, have been delivered. One of these MC-12s flew its first combat mission, in Iraq, on June 10th. A dozen are expected to arrive in Afghanistan this year. Eventually, over 30 will be used in Iraq and Afghanistan. But actual deployment had been delayed for several months, or more, because of problems installing the electronics.
