UN Censures Iran's Nuclear Program



Iran Censured Over Nuclear Program by U.N. Watchdog -- New York Times

PARIS — The United Nations nuclear watchdog castigated Iran for blocking inquiries into its nuclear program in a resolution passed overwhelmingly on Friday that demanded the country freeze operations “immediately” at a once-secret uranium enrichment plant.

The resolution was the agency’s first against Iran in almost four years, and it won the backing of Russia and China in a long-sought broadening of the message of international displeasure with Iran that is frequently voiced in the West.
