New Claims Against Lockerbie Bomber, Abdelbaset Ali al-Megrahi -- The Australian
THE man convicted of the Lockerbie bombing was implicated in the purchase and development of chemical weapons by Libya, according to documents produced by the US government.
The papers also claim that Abdelbaset Ali al-Megrahi sought to buy 1000 letter bombs from Greek arms dealers while working as a Libyan intelligence officer.
The documents, prepared by the State Department, raise further questions about the wisdom of the Scottish government in releasing Megrahi on compassionate grounds in August.

My Comment: This case is not dying, and with each passing day that Abdelbaset Ali al-Megrahi continues to live, more questions are being raised on why was he released in the first place by the British/Scottish Government.
This is complete nonsense concocted by the US State Department
