It's War, Dammit: Legalistic Nitpickers Are After Anti-Terror Drone Operators -- New York Post

The hamstringing of the U.S. war against Islamic terrorism has become so legalistically extreme that lawyers have raised the following insane notions:

A CIA officer who uses a drone aircraft to bomb an Al Qaeda chief must be labeled a war criminal because he does not wear a uniform. But a soldier, sailor, airman or Marine could legally press the button as part of the uniformed military. Same drone, same button, same bomb, same dead enemy. Talk about nuts.

My Comment: This war is slowly becoming governed by rules of engagement that will make it impossible to kill high value targets, but it will place U.S. soldiers and operators into high risk situations and/or into untenable military goals.
