Civil Servant Sues For £300,000 After Falling Off Chair -- The Telegraph

A civill servant is suing his government department for £300,000 after he fell off a chair.

Gian-Paul De Vito-Tracey, 39, is seeking is almost twice as much as a soldier was given after suffering severe burns in a Taliban ambush in Afghanistan.

Mr De Vito-Tracey, who held a senior position at the Department for Work and Pensions, will claim he was left 80 per cent disabled for life after hitting his head on a wall, according to a newspaper report. He fell from the newly issued swivel chair in 2008.
