GAO Tells Us What We Already Know-The Littoral Combat Ship Is A Failure -- ELP Defens(c)e Blog

The U.S. Government Accounting Office has released a report (pdf) on the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) program progress.

In it, we find what we already know. That is that the program is a waste of at least $25B or more over the supposed life of the program. The report tells of problems of such a degree with the first two hulls that the next two hulls being built have to suffer through a lot of design changes.
