My Comment: Talk about buckling under pressure. This is embarrassing, and it reveals the disconnect in American foreign policy when it comes to states like Pakistan. You cuddle and support regimes with money/political/and military assistance, while turning a blind eye to their abhorrent behavior thinking that with time you can change this behavior.
Adm. Mullen must be steaming in anger.
Admiral Mullen is not operating solo. It's my not-so-subtle opinion that he's playing the 'stalking horse' for the administration.
ReplyDeleteThat the disconnect has happened is, at best, an administration attempt to encourage Pakistan to change its behavior. At worst, it's an indicator that the administration doesn't have control.
What is my take .... the administration has control, but fears that it is losing it.
