Iraq And Afghan War Costs Reach $11.6 Billion A Month

Wars Costs $11.6bn A Month, Says Pentagon -- Sydney Morning Herald

WASHINGTON. The average monthly cost to the US of the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq this fiscal year is $11.6 billion ($A11.9 billion), according to the Pentagon.

The Pentagon comptroller's office said the figure, for July 30, was up from an average of $9.7 billion a month at April 30. The total includes war-related operations, transport, special combat pay and benefits, food, medical services, maintenance, replacement of equipment and building the Iraq and Afghanistan security forces.

My Comment: Costs for taking care of the crippled, physical and mental traumas, replacement of equipment, etc. etc. etc. .... the grand total will be much higher when the final accounting is done.
