US General Fired Over Comments About Afghanistan

Peter Fuller Removed From Duty As A Top Afghanistan Commander For Remarks To POLITICO -- Politico

Major Gen. Peter Fuller, a top U.S. commander in Afghanistan, was relieved of his duties Friday after comments he made to POLITICO disparaging Afghan President Hamid Karzai and calling the government’s leaders “isolated from reality.”

Gen. John Allen, commander of NATO forces in Afghanistan, ousted Fuller following what the coalition called his “inappropriate public comments.”

My Comment: Major Gen. Peter Fuller was fired for after calling the Afghan government "isolated from reality" and President Hamid Karzai "erratic", followed by 'they don't understand the sacrifices that America is making'.

In my book .... he deserves a medal because he is 100% right. But .... the Army and its rules for what you can say .... sighhh .... he may be right but his firing does not come as a surprise.
