Is President Obama's China And Russia Policy Adrift?

Russia and China are both revisionist powers, intent on transforming the world order to better serve their own parochial interests. Both countries are hostile to an order that intrinsically favors the spread of economic and political liberalism, and both have taken steps to overturn it. Yet the Obama administration is failing to effectively defend the liberal international order that prodigious American sacrifice made possible.

My Comment: What's my take .... President Obama (in his mind) had noble intentions when he decided to pursue his foreign policy objectives .... and he probably sincerely believed that both Russia and China would follow his lead. But his critics (myself included) had a different point of view .... we believed that Russia and China would follow what Russia and China would want .... and as for what a U.S. President may want .... they would not be so interested. Unfortunately for us both China and Russia have proven this point quite spectacularly, so my advice to the President is that now is the time for us to refocus and prioritize our own interests .... starting with economic and trade issues that favor both China and Russia over our own.
