'The US Military Doesn't Do Pin Pricks': Obama Holds Threat Of Strikes Over Syria's Head But Concedes Russian Peace Deal As He Tries To Salvage America's Bruised Credibility In National Address -- Daily Mail
* In 15-minute speech, Obama declares that the White House will encourage a Putin-controlled diplomatic plan in Syria
* The president insisted that Congress should help him keep military pressure on the back burner in case negotiations stall or fail
* Despite Sec. of State John Kerry's promise of only 'unbelievably small' U.S. armed intervention, Obama said his military 'doesn't do pinpricks'

Cutting a lonely figure as he spoke from a White House podium in the East Room, he emphasized in a 15-minute address that his administration will leave military options on the table as a fallback in the event negotiations stall or fall apart.
