My Comment: I lived in Switzerland for a year .... their military is professional with a huge reserve pool. If someone should ever decide to invade Switzerland .... it is a campaign that will be very costly to the aggressor.
China's?
ReplyDeletePretty sure that 10k number is off by a couple of thousand.
ReplyDeleteThe top 3 would be US, Russia, China.
Those numbers are way off.
ReplyDeleteIsrael has 3000+ tanks and not even mentioned in that infographic
Israel has 3000+ tanks if you count the reserve tanks that they have that are due to be scrapped or sold. That's the same for the US which has a lot more than 10 thousand if you included tanks that are not in capable working condition nor have assigned working crews to them.
ReplyDeleteBut to not include the reserve tanks that they have would still put them pretty high on the list. Also the Merkava tank is widely considered the best tank in the world. That chart seems to be poorly made.
The chart is wrong .... but as we both know D. Plowman it is from the Daily Mail. But the article itself is relevant.
