U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry will meet Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov face-to-face in a bid to deescalate tensions in Ukraine
U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry arrived in Paris Saturday ahead of a Sunday meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. My Comment: The Russians have already made their position very clear .... Lavrov: If West accepts coup-appointed Kiev govt, it must accept a Russian Crimea (RT) .... the question that needs to be answered is will the U.S. continue with their demand that Crimea cannot be annexed by Russia .... or will they bend. My prediction .... the U.S. will stick with their position and hope that with time Russia and Ukraine will come to some accomodation on Crimea.
They'll stick to it and hope for the future because that's all they have, hope.
