It was the narrowest - and most terrifying - of escapes.
In footage that could have been plucked straight from Hollywood blockbuster The Hurt Locker, two British soldiers are seen sprinting for their lives after a detonation in an Afghan bomb factory went spectacularly wrong.
It was meant to be a controlled explosion but instead, for reasons that are unclear, the men are left with a fraction of a second to get clear before the one-storey mud building, in Helmand Province, is blown to smithereens.

My Comment: It is clear that they were running for their lives.
From the first guy out the door at 22 sec mark till the explosion, 3 seconds. You have to assume they had an Oscar Sierra moment inside and didn't stay to talk it out. So 4.5 to 5 seconds from OS to explosion. You notice the main blast was up and that saved them, that and getting around the corner. The Movies always show the hero out running the explosion itself. Can't be done
