U.S. Secretary Of State John Kerry Apologises For Israel 'Apartheid' Remarks

John Kerry Apologises For Israel 'Apartheid' Remarks -- The Guardian

US secretary of state sparked outcry when he said country risked becoming an 'apartheid' state without a peace deal

The US secretary of state, John Kerry, has apologised for warning that Israel risked becoming an "apartheid state" if it did not reach a peace deal with the Palestinians, following a barrage of criticism in America.

In a statement, Kerry hit back at what he described as "partisan political" attacks against him, while stating that in retrospect he would have chosen a different word.

He said that apartheid was "a word best left out of the debate [in the US]" despite the fact that there have been similar warnings from senior Israeli politicians.

Kerry insisted his remarks were only an expression of his firm belief that a two-state solution was the only way to end the long-running conflict.

My Comment: The reaction to this story is more interesting to me than John Kerry's remarks .... everyone in the mainstream media is running around trying to cover for him. What's my take .... he was behind closed doors talking with friends .... he never thought that there was a microphone open .... and he sure as hell did not think that his comments would be recorded. So what we heard was the real John Kerry .... and no .... President Obama is not going to fire him and the reason why is simple .... he probably privately agrees with what John Kerry said.

  1. He knew this would be reported. A trial balloon on public opinion. The "private setting" makes it half way denial-able, "unfortunate, misimpression, out of context, blah, blah, blah.

  2. How this man is still the Secretary of State I do not know, his actions on Israel are only the tip of the iceberg…

How many lies can he tell and expect to have zero consequences from his actions??
The consequences will be more needless death on both sides because of his foolish words..
