My Comment: The above video is cool to watch. From YouTube .... This World War II era training film shows the function and operation of the large main guns on a US battleship. Really fascinating!

    What frigtens me is that the video mentioned that in the case of a fire, each department is isolated from the others.

    Sounds like once you go in, and in the event of an emergency, you won't be coming out...

In the army we used to bitch about how easy those guys had it (no mud, no digging, and ice cream!) but it's true, if they get into a big one and get hit there's usually few survivors.
