Ukraine Crisis: Fighting Rages On Despite Declared Truce -- BBC

Pro-Russian separatists have carried out several attacks on Ukrainian troops despite a unilateral ceasefire declared by Kiev, Ukrainian officials say.

They say at least six border guards were injured in shelling by the insurgents in the east overnight.

The rebels earlier dismissed the truce called by President Petro Poroshenko, the first step of his peace plan.

Meanwhile, the US imposed sanctions - including asset freezes - against seven pro-Russian leaders in Ukraine.

Western leaders have threatened additional sanctions against Russia, which they accuse of stoking tension in Ukraine. Moscow denies the claim.

  1. Russia have et troop in centeral Rusia on combat alert. Rusia shall have military exercises with around 60 thousand troops and it shall last to friday. Wonder of somthing is planed on friday because 3 important thing wil happen that day.
    1. Ukraine signs EU agreement.
    2. The ceasefire ends.
    3. Russias military exercises ends.
    Is this just coincidence or is somthing going to happen that day?

  2. I do not think anything special is going to happen that day .... aside from you have already listed Rhaegar.

    But Ukraine's agreement with the EU will mean the end of Russia's preferred trading status with Ukraine (Moscow will terminate the agreement). The ceasefire has not taken hold in Ukraine .... the civil war still continues. And Russian military exercises are always being conducted .... I think this is the sixth or seventh major exercise this year alone.
