US Not Considering Strike Against ISIS In Syria -- Jerusalem Post

US official tells Post: "At the moment, the options being considered are focused on Iraq. Of course, that could always change."

US President Barack Obama is not considering military action against al-Raqqa, Syria, the self-declared capital of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), a US official tells The Jerusalem Post.

"At the moment, the options being considered are focused on Iraq," the official said. "Of course, that could always change."

The terrorist militia ravaging the sovereignty of Iraq is headquartered in Syria, where the group gained strength through the strife of the civil war there.

My Comment: U.S. air strikes on Syrian soil will open a "can of worms" that I am sure that the White House will not want to open.

  2. Besides wasting money on bombs .... to launch air strikes you need intelligence on the ground and spotters to direct the air strikes. All of this will entail boots on the ground and becoming actively and publicly in a very deadly sectarian civil war where there is no end-game..
