F-15 Reports Emergency, Crashes In Virginia Forest -- USA Today

An F-15C fighter jet based at a National Guard facility in Massachusetts crashed Wednesday into a national forest in central Virginia after reporting an in-flight emergency and losing radio contact, officials said.

The jet, from the 104th Fighter Wing of the Massachusetts Air National Guard, is a one-person craft and the status of the pilot was not immediately known, said Maj. Candice Ismirle, an Air Force spokesperson.

The Pentagon indicated the jet was en route to Louisiana from its base in located in Westfield, Mass. The pilot made a report of an inflight emergency, then lost radio contact, officials said

  2. I have always said that if nothing changes the Ukraine army will eventually take over the rebel controlled areas. The problem was how could they keep control when almost everyone is against them. I have compared eastern Ukraine to the British occupation of Ireland. The British controlled the cities .... but they really did not control the countryside. In the end .... the people will get what they want .... Ireland got their independence, and eastern Ukraine will eventually get some form of autonomy.

    But if Russia is now sending their own soldiers into the fight .... using artillery and attack helicopters .... this is going to change everything.

  3. Why should not Putin not do what he wants? He can walk all over Obama.

    There is talk, which might be idle talk, of Obama signing a climate deal that the Senate does not have to confirm to burnish his legacy. Point is that Obama will pivot to something else f things do not go well for him in one area.
