Washington Times: Exclusive: Secret tapes undermine Hillary Clinton on Libyan war
Joint Chiefs, key lawmaker held own talks with Moammar Gadhafi regime
WNU Editor: This is an explosive account on U.S. involvement to the run-up in Libya's civil war .... and while no one else is reporting on this story, I suspect that in the next few days others will pick up on this story .... and will raise even more questions. As to the Washington Times post itself ... it is a long read .... but it is well worth it .... and it shows how U.S. foreign policy was conducted during the run-up to Libya's civil war, and to the eventual ousting and killing of Gadhafi.I have a strong feeling that if this report is true .... and so far it appears to be the case .... there are many in the White House, Hillary Clinton supporters, and in the Pentagon who are not going to be happy with all of this disclosure.
Update: In retrospect .... this now makes sense ....
WNU,
ReplyDeleteThere is so much here it's hard to know where to begin. Lot's and lot's of names. The denial fest will be something to behold. You notice that Clinton's successor is Kerry named as a supporter of all this. Also the the three central names are Clinton, Rice, and Powers. With the exception of Jarrett this has been Obama's entire inner circle of advisor/movers/ shakers pick any word you like. You'll notice a complete lack of Obama personally in this, along the lines of "I first learned of this from the news" story this administration has used many times before.
I would like to know how this was "recovered" in Libya, by whom, who turned it over to the Times, how long has the Times been in possession, why was this report released now? Is this a "stand alone" of it's own or did someone give birth to it that we are not aware of? As you say the reaction to this will be of interest, to say the least.
James .... your comment sums up exactly how I feel. A lot of work and digging was done to put this story out, and if it is true and if more comes out of it, if it was not for the liberal bias of the media it would be suitable for a Pulitzer recognition.
