  1. WNU,
" why is this all becoming public now?"
I shall make a wild guess. The big bad Bibi is due in town to make a speech that has certain people all scared they won't get the "deal of a lifetime", "diplomatic breakthrough" that they had hoped for, also the current administration is in a bureaucratic war with the CIA. So by chance it is revealed that Mr. Mughniyah was killed by the Israelis with help from that rotten CIA under direction from those other guys before us, but it was for sure the Israelis that pulled the trigger not us!

  2. In 2008, Ehud Olmert was Prime Minister and a member of Kadima, a moderate to liberal faction that was on good terms with the Palestinians and a staunch advocate of the 'peace process."

Tzipi Livni, then of Kadima and a cabinet minister in 2008. In case anyone doesn't know, she's described in glowing terms by the media as "one of [Israel's] leading voices for the two-state solution" and in 2006 as ""the second most powerful politician in Israel"."

Livni is also now campaigning alongside Labor's Isaac Herzog for a co-Prime Minister slot on the Zionist Camp (center-left political alliance) ticket.

Releasing this now is sort-of akin to, say, a foreign nation releasing information during the 2008 US election season that the Clinton administration had been, in reality, really tough on terror - and, by the way, Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton was around the White House then.

In short - the Obama administration is attempting to influence Israel's elections.
