Russian Mobile Crematoriums In Ukraine?

Josh Rogin, Bloomberg: Russia Is Using Mobile Crematoriums to Hide Ukraine's Dead

Russia is so desperate to hide its military involvement in Ukraine that it has brought in mobile crematoriums to destroy the bodies of its war dead, say U.S. lawmakers who traveled to the war-torn country this spring.

The U.S. and NATO have long maintained that thousands of Russian troops are fighting alongside separatists inside eastern Ukraine, and that the Russian government is obscuring not only the presence but also the deaths of its soldiers there. In March, NATO Deputy Secretary General Alexander Vershbow told a conference, "Russian leaders are less and less able to conceal the fact that Russian soldiers are fighting -- and dying -- in large numbers in eastern Ukraine."

Hence the extreme measures to get rid of the evidence. “The Russians are trying to hide their casualties by taking mobile crematoriums with them,” House Armed Services Committee Chairman Mac Thornberry told me. “They are trying to hide not only from the world but from the Russian people their involvement.”

WNU Editor: I covered a similar news story last year .... Many Russian Soldiers Have Died (And Are Dying) In Ukraine. Trucks marked ‘Gruz 200' are known to be the hearses for Russia's dead ... as to mobile crematoriums .... that is news to me, but I suspect that they are mixing up 'Gruz 200' trucks with rumors about mobile crematoriums. More on these trucks can be read here .... Why Russian Trucks Designated 'Cargo 200' Are An Ominous Sign That War Is About To Return To Eastern Ukraine.

  1. WNU Editor,

"Mobile crematoriums",...... Are they like the Iraqi drones to attack the US with WMD?

    http://m.motherjones.com/politics/2011/12/leadup-iraq-war-timeline

Or are they like the Mobile WMD Factories Powell had drawings of?

Or are they more like Bibi's Bomb Cartoon?

It takes 1600F to 1800F , up to two hours at 2,000,000 BTU's per hour ( in the most efficient furnaces available), to cremate a human.

In addition, the furnace linkngs are all extremely fragile and wouldn't survive a trip round the block, let alone the hard slog to the Ukraine.

  2. LOL! Just when you think the gruesome twosome of Rogin/Lake couldn't stoop any lower Josh publishes this silliness.

Whatever journo cred he had just flew out the window. Anything to connect the Neocon's enemies to the Holocaust I guess. Sad. And good for
    a laugh.

  3. As I said .... I suspect that Josh Rogin is confusing the Gruz 200 trucks with this rumor of "crematorium trucks". On a personal note (i.e. knowing how Russians think) .... if bodies of Russian soldiers were being cremated without the family's permission .... just one .... the stink that it would cause throughout Russia would be enormous.

  4. WNU Editor,

    Nope, nope, nope,

    They are "pushing" the propaganda.

They are "selling" the "idea" that the "proof" of tens of thousands dead Russian Soldiers can't be " proven", is because they are all " ashes" and can't be "found".
