A Look At The U.S. Reconnaissance Marines

ABC News: Who are the Reconnaissance Marines?

SAN DIEGO - The Navy SEALs are well-known to many, but there is a military unit that tackles missions every bit as dangerous.

There are less than 1,000 Reconnaissance Marines in the world, and they are a well-kept secret at the Naval Amphibious Base in Coronado.

GySgt. A.J. Pasciuti, who is the amphibious phase platoon sergeant of basic reconnaissance courses, spent seven years as a Marine not really knowing what Reconnaissance Marines did.

"People have no idea," he said. "Most people smile and nod, understanding nothing about it."

WNU Editor: True to form .... the above video gives zero information on what these Marines actually do.
