Washington Times: Attack on U.S. just a matter of time, security experts say
It only a matter of time before a Paris-style coordinated terror attack comes to the streets of America, experts say, citing the fact the Islamic State is far more organized than even al Qaeda and is attracting hundreds of committed U.S. followers.
The experts also point to scores of attacks stopped by the FBI, and local authorities, in the planning stages. Police cannot foil all of them as the two-terrorists Boston Marathon bombing showed.
“Since the Mumbai attacks in India, this type of coordinated attack has been the scenario law enforcement has dreaded the most in terms of the non-weapons of mass destruction possibilities,” said Jeffrey Addicott, who directs the Center for Terrorism Law in San Antonio, Texas. “It has come to the West, and in an open society, it is very difficult to prevent when the assailants are willing to die.”

" The dilemma the West now faces is that it cannot survive on the basis of the platform which its elites have carefully constructed since WW2. They are being beaten to death with their own lofty statements. They must either continue to uphold the vision of open borders, multiculturalism, declining birthrates, unilateral disarmament and a growing state sector at all costs — in other words continue on the road to suicide — or retreat. As recent events at American campuses have shown, when faced with the choice of saving the Left and saving the actual world, the odds are that “the world” goes over the side first.
ReplyDeleteIn attempting to survive on its own terms, the Left will tear itself apart. In its agony it will destroy much else. It may be that Europe will rediscover its culture; it is possible it will develop the will to defend itself; it is conceivable it will hold off extreme fascist movements; it could even plausibly reconstruct its demography. But it cannot do this without an upheaval that will leave nothing unscathed. The good news is that the West must soon squarely face choices it has been avoiding until now. The bad news is that nothing will escape unscathed.
Radical Islamism’s greatest challenge is it that ruthlessly exposes a fatal flaw which has existed in the ideology of the West for the last 70 years. It is representative of a question that won’t go away. Can it face the facts just as they are and think its way out of a jam? What Samantha Power called the Problem from Hell is really the Kobayashi Maru test of European civilization. Faced with a no-win situation, will the West find a path through?
The answer, as in most cases in history, is “maybe.” Maybe if we get it right, if we think out of the box, if we are lucky then perhaps we will survive. In a world accustomed to “safe spaces” and guarantees, this may seem unsatisfactory. But each past generation was offered no more than this, from the hunter gatherers who ventured out of Africa to the fighter pilots of the Battle of Britain. That is all that is on offer. Take the maybe or walk away empty handed.
The biggest psychological barrier that the current orthodoxy has to overcome is the realization that humanity is actually free. Nothing is written, especially not the PC text. But you must face the facts, no matter the trigger, no matter the micro-aggression. One thing for sure, the West will fail surely and the world descend into chaos if we continue as before. If one thing is plainly evident, it is that the same old, same old isn’t going to work."

Very well put James! My late father was in his teens during WW2 and he always said that the right leadership will come forward in conflict or you will die. The West is crying for real leadership from HONEST politicians who will tackle the issues head on. Either we smarten up or we will die!

ReplyDeleteWhat have you said it on the money I agree that and let me add a comment if I may . if you have a Christian background and you have read the scriptures you know that God told Joshua to kill everyone ...everybody animals too but he disobeyed he left the seeds off the people who didn't kill to grow in a fertile ground he was warned not to do that he disobeyed and they had to pay the price. in the West the seeds are call collateral damage or innocent people .
The same people who are being indoctrinated from birth , to hate you just because you have a different believe. you see I personally believe that if you are not part of the solution you are part of the problem .and if this is the best things we can come up with on a personal level what are you willing to do to change that. Even if you don't have any type of believe, remember if you don't go for them they will come for you. this running around chopping people's head off that's nothing new we all know that your government knows that and uses it against us as a type of boogeyman to control your life and enforce an agenda of enslavement to take away your liberty's ... Thomas Jefferson said that doe's how are willing to give up their liberty's in exchange for security deserve neither.:-)
