Daily Mail: Real life Call of Duty: Jihadists attach go-pro to a TANK and a drone to film terrifying propaganda video of battle against Iranian forces
* Al Qaeda ally the Nusra Front released propaganda video shot on GoPro
* Purports to show Iranian forces fleeing from jihadists as they attack town
* Cameras were attached to a tank and a drone hundreds of metres above
A terrifying propaganda video released by a jihadist group with links to Al Qaeda purportedly shows Iranian forces fleeing from jihadists as they advance on a stronghold town in northern Syria.
The Nusra Front released the three-minute clip made up of footage taken from GoPro cameras attached to a tank and a drone.
The effect is a video that has chilling echoes of first-person shooter video games like Call of Duty.
WNU Editor: Warning .... this video is intense.
Russian airpower has its limits.
ReplyDeletephill,
ReplyDeleteDespite being touted as a "battle", the vid shows a raid by 1 tank and 2 APC's.
The tank's engine, judging by the black smoke, is either on it's last days, ( rings and valves), or is burning some real crap and needs it's whole fuel system adjusted.
So, they take off from Village A, go tearing across farm fields at full speed, until the hit an irrigation canal, which the tank enters, but the two APC' parallel.
They crash the peremeter ( unfortified) of Village B, go crashing in, at which point in time, one of the APC's takes a hit, crashes through a wall and sits there smoking. APC 2 drops off the vid, at the canal.
Then there is footage of the tank pressing forward, shooting it's MG, (main gun never fires), some people retreating, ( probably LPG Militia perimeter guards), then the tank starts taking MG fire in the turret, and the last few seconds shows the tank backing away.
It was a raid, and probably not that successful.
Jay that was a good summary. I laughed like crazy. Have you served in the canadian army?
DeleteExactly didnt see anything intense.
ReplyDeleteFazman. I was looking at it from a propaganda production. Jay's military assessment of it is spot on.
